Who we’re looking for

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and motivated Accountant with bi-lingual skills to join one of our Business Services teams. This team has a strong Korean client base and will require bi-lingual skills (Korean / English) to be successful in this role.

About the role

As an experienced member of our Business Services team, your job will involve:

• Preparation of financial statements, income tax returns, group tax summary and loan summary for corporate and family groups including Trusts, Companies, Partnerships and Individuals
• Preparation of payroll tax returns, FBT returns and activity statements
• Communication with the ATO in relation to various client matters, e.g. payment arrangements, remissions, extensions etc.
• Working as part of a team where you will work closely with other intermediate and senior business services accountants
• Use of Xero, XPM and FYI docs
• Liaising with clients and other external service providers

About you

The qualities and qualifications we’re looking for include:

• Excellent English and Korean speaking & writing skills are essential

• Relevant tertiary qualification.
• Intention to complete CA/CPA qualification.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in public practice accounting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of basic tax compliance, e.g. returns and statements.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assess the risks for clients before decision making.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to consult with peers.
