Please note: As the client is a woman in her 30s, we are seeking a female support worker for this role.

The role involves supporting an Australian client who speaks Japanese and has an interest in Japanese culture.

Position Details

Would you like to work as an independent contractor in Sunnybank (near Garden City Westfield Shopping Centre)?

While some care is provided at the client’s home, the role also involves shopping outings and community activities. This position is ideal for someone active, flexible, and comfortable working both indoors and outdoors.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Assistance with daily living and personal hygiene
• Household tasks (including cleaning and organising)
• Transport support and participation in community activities
• Assistance with medical equipment (wheelchair, lift, portable toilet)
• Accompanying the client to physiotherapy appointments (every second Monday afternoon)
• Providing ADHD support

Working Hours
• Tuesday - Friday: 5:30am–10:00am (minimum 2 hours)
• Shift-based role (schedule may vary slightly depending on the client’s needs)

Mandatory Requirements

Qualifications:
• First Aid and CPR certification
• NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (can help with this if needed)

Other Requirements:
• Valid Australian driver’s licence
• Own vehicle with third-party insurance
• ABN (independent contractor status)
• Business insurance linked to your ABN

Relevant disability support qualifications are highly regarded.
